HARLEY BOSS 88

Here I am! As I promised you… Thanks to the kindness of Sandra Marcello I had the chance to go back to the ‘Free Spirits’ house! It’s with great enthusiasm and superb consideration for my blog that they provided me with another one of their special motorcycles. As a fashion-biker, I was for the first time sat on a saddle of an Harley Davidson. I’ve been impressed by their strong point for a long time. I’m talking about the “Boss 88” special, made on the basis of the Harley Davidson XR 1200. It was a great chance to try this racing motorcycle. Even if the day was grey, I had the chance to have a good ride and test the characteristics of this American motorcycle, customised by Marcello and his lads. Although I’m not a professional racing driver, I can tell you that you really perceive and distinguish the ‘made in Italy’. I really enjoyed the ride! At first I was just trying to have fun along the local Costo road that goes to the Asiago Upland. Some hairpins, great bends, and the adrenaline upswings to a thousand. Probably it was extreme for this type of motorcycle so I decided to go back to Thiene square (VI). The city environment has the advantage to keep you at a reasonable pace. Yet, this was not enough as I managed to attract the attention of the Municipal police, who after the usual check they truly congratulated me… Then I left and went back to the Free Spirits House. The motorcycle wasn’t worn-out at all… I was a bit tired indeed as its weight took lots of my strength out of me, and in slow manoeuvres it was very challenging. The weight gap is compensated by the feeling conveyed by the engine of this racing motorcycle having very little of the original; it’s an 88-inch in all senses of the word. The custom parts assembled are just too many to list, but the photos can illustrate that from the front to the end there are a mix of components of great value, beyond being just perfect in their jobs. Really good indeed! Among other things, the similar graphics and colours perfectly matched with the graphics of my helmet, and my Alpinestars Viki got on well with my look; thanks to its flawless fit it adjusts perfectly to the body leaving you the freedom to move. It really makes you feel comfortable and with a motorcycle like this it is just perfect as you really need a certain attention when driving and when manoeuvring from the stop. I might sound tedious, but I’ll never give up thanking all the guys at Free Spirits! They coolly made me experience very closely what they created. They really opened their big heart to me!
